Welcome To The Poetic Outdoors
This website is dedicated to amateur poets and outdoorsmen everywhere. It is my hope that you enjoy, as much as I do, putting your thoughts and experiences down on paper where they can be read and enjoyed over and over. I have found that when I do this I tend to experience the events more fully because they may be extended and enjoyed indefinately.
I started this website to have a place to showcase some of my work, as well as, that of other people. If someone reads one of my poems and is able to relate to it to some degree, then I will consider that I have been somewhat successful as a poet.
Above all, I consider myself to be a christian and a family man. My wife, Elaine, and I love spending time with our children, their children, and their children. I also enjoy outdoor sports such as hunting, fishing, camping and most any other outdoor activity. These are all the subjects of most of my writing. I make no claims to being a truly talented poet, but I do love to try. I hope that you will enjoy reading my poems and possibly even be able to relate to them to some degree.
